This week we mostly focused on limits involving infinity. We took a quiz on them and discussed them throughout the week. I still don't think I have really caught on to the whole limit thing, but hopefully I'll get the hang of it soon! At the end of the week we learned about continuous and dicontinous functions. We were given three rules to define whether a function is continuous or discontinous.

1. f(c) is defined - Which means if you put any number in (c) it will have a y value

2. lim(f(x)) as x approaches c exists -It has to have a limit at a given point in the domain

3. lim f(x) as x approaches c = f(x) - For example, if the function was y=x, the limit as x approaches 1 is 1, which is also the answer to the function y=1

We also learned about the different ways for something to not be continuous. The types are removable, jump, and infinite. I think that I understand these better than limits, but we will see how next week goes!
